Introducing Prof. Dr. Vinola Duraisamy
It is my great honor to introduce our esteemed speaker for today’s lecture, Dr. Vinola Duraisamy. Dr. Vinola is a distinguished professional in the field of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry, holding an MDS degree and being a proud Fellow of both the International College of Dentists in Orthodontics (FICCDE) and the Special Child Dentistry (FSCD). She is also a member of the Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry of India and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Hospital Management (PGDHM).
Dr. Vinola has made significant contributions to the academic and professional community, having served as the Professor and Head of the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at Vinayaka Mission DC, Salem. Her active research career includes over 30 publications at both national and international levels. She has been an invited guest speaker at 45 national and state-level presentations, sharing her expertise widely. Her excellence in research has been recognized with multiple best paper presentation awards from the Indian Society of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry and the Distinguished Woman Award for her contributions to Pediatric Dentistry in 2020.
Dr. Vinola’s leadership extends to the Indian Dental Association, where she was the first female office bearer at the state level, serving as State CDE Convener and the first Vice President of the IDA Tamil Nadu State. She is also an executive member of the Pediatric Dental Association and has organized numerous conferences regionally, nationally, and internationally. Beyond her professional achievements, Dr. Duraisamy is a voracious reader, an enthusiastic cyclist, and a lover of the outdoors, embracing life’s adventures with enthusiasm.
